Too notch guide! One of the most phenomenal fly fishing guides I’ve been able to fish with. As a female angler, it can be intimidating on the bow of a Florida saltwater skiff. Brian quickly put me at ease. He is a true professional about every detail from skiff and equipment to how he conducts himself as a captain, and he does this with an atmosphere of spirited fun and adventure! He has a gift for swiftly and accurately articulating what I needed to do when it was game time. His intense, precise, and positive queuing provided me with the opportunity to have multiple tarpon hooked and jumped. Better yet, I was able to bring tarpon and bonefish to the boat for that hero shot! Thank you Captain Brian for coaching me and for one of the most wonderful fly fishing experiences ever!!!
What an amazing time spent with Capt. Brian on the Conch 27. We had a blast catching a bunch of nice size yellow tail and learning about the fishery and of course our captain. If your looking to book a trip for either the novice or well seasoned fisherman Capt. Brian will have you covered. The giant bonus was all the meat we ended up with after Capt. Brian meticulously filleted it for us in fact the biggest bag I have ever taken home from a trip.
Brian did a great job of getting me on fish in really difficult conditions. He worked extremely hard to find them and we were able to convert on many fish on a day that could have easily been a bust. I will fish again with Brian when i am next in the area!
I was visiting family in Miami and we came down to the keys for a weekend. I had an amazing experience with Brian and Mike who were both friendly, helpful, and clearly knowledgeable in fishing. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested.

Fished with Brian and Mike, and they were both amazing guides. We caught many fish including 4 lemon sharks. They were wonderful with children and we had a great time.
Spent three awesome days with Capt. Helms and my oldest son. I think we caught everything in Florida Bay- blacktip sharks, spanish mackerel, snook, redfish, seatrout, mangrove snappers, etc- even managed to have a shore lunch one day and eat our catch. Always a great time with Capt. Helms and he does an exceptional job teaching kids on how to saltwater fish! Can’t wait for my next trip with Capt. Helms!
We had a fantastic day of fishing with Captain Brian of SeaYaFishing. He guided us to a fantastic spot in the Everglades National Park and helped us with our casting technique in windy conditions. We caught a lot of fish and were able to enjoy the beauty of the Florida Keys. He was very patient with us and helped us maximize our ability to have a successful day of fishing. I highly recommend Captain Brian for all fishing levels. His expertise is obvious and he is highly knowledgeable about the area and all types of fishing – fly, spin, deep sea, and spear fishing.

I went fishing with Captain Helms this summer, and he put me in front of more fish than I could count. Bonefish, tarpon, permit, we saw them all. Helms knows his stuff too. Follow his lead and you’ll catch fish all day!! Highly recommend!!

Brian is a master angler in all of the disciplines that the Keys have to offer and an excellent teacher. He will put you on the fish and make you a better fisherman in the process. He loves what he does and he strives to be the best at it with a work ethic that is seldom seen. You will be fishing with the best of the best.
